In the Steps of Saint Joseph

MARCH 21, 2020

Unfortunately, due to the increasing health risk associated with the coronavirus, we are not going forward with the 2020 Montana Catholic Men's Conference. We will refund fees and reschedule the conference (date TBD).

After consulting information available from the CDC and Montana Dept. of Public Health, we believe cancellation reflects a proactive approach that gives us the best chance to avoid a health crisis in Montana.

Let us pray for one another as we take every precaution to stay healthy so that we may provide care and support for our families, loved ones and communities.

St. Joseph in the Life of the Church

Feast of St. Joseph, Husband of Mary and Step-Father of Jesus

March 19th.

Pope Francis explained on St. Joseph’s March 2014 feast: “Joseph also quietly imparted to Jesus that wisdom which consists above all in reverence for the Lord, prayer and fidelity to his word, and obedience to his will. Joseph’s paternal example helped Jesus to grow, on a human level, in his understanding and appreciation of his unique relationship to his heavenly Father.”

Feast of St. Joseph the Worker

 May 1st.

St. John Paul II focused on St. Joseph in Redemptoris Custos (Guardian of the Redeemer). He taught us: “If the Family of Nazareth is an example and model for human families, in the order of salvation and holiness, so too, by analogy, is Jesus' work at the side of Joseph the carpenter. In our own day, the Church has emphasized this by instituting the liturgical memorial of St. Joseph the Worker on May 1.”
